Uber has launched a new “Women Drivers” feature in Saudi Arabia, allowing female riders to book rides exclusively with female drivers.

The move aims to boost women’s participation in the workforce and mobility sector, supporting Saudi Vision 2030. The feature, similar to UberX, offers both on-demand and scheduled rides.

Uber also launched the GigSister program to support female driver communities and partnered with Alnahda Society for financial literacy training.

This builds on earlier initiatives like Wusool and Women Rider Preference. The initiative follows seven years after the driving ban on women was lifted.
