The UAE’s Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs, and Port Security (ICP) has recorded over 32,000 violations of residency laws from January to June 2025.
As part of the ongoing “Towards a Safer Society” campaign, nationwide inspections were conducted to ensure legal compliance by foreign residents and employers. Around 70% of violators have already been deported, while others face further legal action.
Authorities emphasized zero tolerance for those aiding illegal residency. The campaign will run until October 31, 2025, aiming to promote legal residency and protect national security.
