The UAE Ministry of Climate Change and Environment has confirmed that Dubai chocolate products sold in the country are free from salmonella contamination.
This follows a recent FDA warning in the US about a product called Spread Pistachio Cacao Cream with Kadayef by brand Emek, which tested positive for salmonella.
The ministry clarified that the Emek product is not made in the UAE, not sold locally, and is only marketed as being inspired by Dubai chocolate flavours.
Authentic Dubai chocolate brands like FIX Dessert Chocolatier continue to meet the highest quality and safety standards.
