The UAE has overtaken the US to become the world’s second-highest builder of supertall skyscrapers, according to the Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat (CTBUH).

With over 30 buildings above 300 metres and 200 surpassing 150 metres, the UAE’s skyline, led by Dubai’s Burj Khalifa, reflects its rapid urban growth and global ambition.

Dubai now ranks fourth globally for high-rises over 150 metres, following Hong Kong, Shenzhen, and New York.

Abu Dhabi and Sharjah are also expanding vertically, underscoring the UAE’s vision for economic diversification and its growing architectural prominence.
