The UAE experienced extreme heat on Monday, with temperatures soaring to 50.2°C in Al Dhaid, Sharjah, according to the National Center of Meteorology (NCM).

The reading was recorded at 2pm, while the day’s lowest was 27.1°C in Damtha, Al Ain. Despite the scorching weather, rainfall was reported in areas like Sharjah, Fujairah, and Khor Fakkan.

The Met Office also forecasts convective cloud formations and a potential rise in dust and wind speeds up to 40 km/h, continuing through Friday, July 18.
