The UAE Cybersecurity Council has cautioned the public against buying travel tickets through social media, while the Abu Dhabi Judicial Department (ADJD) has warned about fake investment groups operating on these platforms—labeling them a major source of online financial fraud. The ADJD stressed that individuals must take responsibility for their own protection.
As part of its awareness drive, the Abu Dhabi Legal Awareness Center “Masouliya,” under the Judicial Department, shared a post on platform “X” highlighting common online financial scams, why people fall for them, and key safety tips to safeguard their money and investments. The initiative aims to boost public legal awareness.
