The Sheikh Zayed Falcon Release Program has reached a major milestone by releasing 81 falcons into the wilds of Kazakhstan in May 2025. Since its launch in 1995, the program has reintroduced 2,355 falcons both Saker and Peregrine into their natural habitats across Central Asia.
The initiative combats threats like habitat loss and unsustainable breeding while supporting migratory ecosystems. Falcons were thoroughly examined, trained, and fitted with ID rings and satellite trackers to monitor their journey.
This effort reflects the UAE’s long-standing commitment to wildlife conservation and biodiversity protection.
