Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has suspended four Umrah companies and fined several others over viol@tions related to inadequate pilgrim housing.
The action follows surprise inspections revealing that some firms fai_led to meet contractual service standards. These companies were found breaching agreements by providing subpar accommodation to pilgrims.
The ministry emphasized that such lapses go agai_nst the commitment to ensure the comfort, safety, and dignity of pilgrims. Penalt_ies were based on the severi_ty and frequency of viol@tions, though specific fines were not disclosed.
