Russia asserts that the United States has been continuously supplying weapons and military equipment to Ukraine, in response to U.S. President Donald Trump’s recent announcement to provide advanced arms, including Patriot air defense systems, to Kyiv.

According to reports by TASS and RIA Novosti, Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov stated at a press briefing on July 14 that “the fact remains that the delivery of weapons, ammunition, and military equipment from the U.S. to Ukraine continues uninterrupted.”

Peskov added that although much has been discussed regarding the high costs involved, it now appears that Europe is bearing much of the financial burden. “Some of the costs will be covered; some will not,” he remarked.

President Trump emphasized that if the U.S. supplies equipment to NATO in support of Ukraine, NATO will be responsible for the associated costs and has pledged to provide Patriot air defense systems to Ukraine.

Regarding Trump’s special envoy to Ukraine, Keith Kellogg’s recent visit, Peskov described it as “highly important that Mr. Kellogg, as a representative of the Trump administration, continues mediation efforts within the framework of resolving the Russia-Ukraine conflict.”

He stated that Russia is prepared for a third round of negotiations with Ukraine and awaits Kyiv’s proposals, noting that “Kyiv is clearly not in a hurry.”

Peskov criticized Estonia’s live-fire military exercises in the Baltic region, affirming Russia’s commitment to defending its legitimate interests in the Baltic but warning that “it is obvious that several countries are engaging in provocations.”
