Liverpool footballer Diogo Jota has sadly died in a car crash in Zamora, Spain, just two weeks after getting married.
The 28-year-old was with his 26-year-old brother when their Lamborghini went off the road, crashed, and caught fire shortly after midnight. Both were found dead at the scene.
Police have not officially confirmed the names, but signs point to Jota and his brother.
Their bodies were taken for autopsy. Jota had recently married his long-time partner Rute Cardoso on June 28 and said he felt like the “luckiest man in the world.”
