Emirates has signed a landmark Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Singapore-based Cryptodotcom to enable cryptocurrency payments for flight bookings starting in 2026. This move aims to attract a younger, tech-savvy customer base and aligns with Dubai’s vision of becoming a global hub for digital assets and crypto financing.
Under the agreement, Emirates and Cryptodotcom will collaborate on technical integration, compliance alignment, and enhancing customer experience.
Promotional campaigns will also be launched to raise awareness and encourage adoption. Payments made in cryptocurrency will be instantly converted to AED at real-time exchange rates, ensuring seamless transactions for customers.
The signing ceremony featured Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, with key executives from both Emirates and Cryptodotcom in attendance. This partnership follows a regional trend, as airlines like Air Arabia began accepting AE Coin in May 2025.
