Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has launched a major road development project worth Dh633 million to reduce congestion in the city. The project focuses on upgrading Al Mustaqbal Street, stretching from Za’abeel Palace Street to Financial Centre Street.

As part of the broader infrastructure overhaul—including the redevelopment of Trade Centre Roundabout—the initiative is expected to boost road capacity by 33%. Peak hour traffic flow will increase from 6,600 to 8,800 vehicles per hour, cutting travel time from 13 minutes to just 6.

The move will enhance access to key business, residential, and leisure hubs, further supporting Dubai’s growing urban demands.
