Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has launched 15 new air-conditioned temporary rest areas for delivery riders at key bus and metro stations, offering protection from the extreme summer heat.
This initiative supports the UAE’s Midday Work Ban (12:30pm–3pm, June 15–Sept 15) and complements 40 existing permanent shelters.
Each facility provides free meals, water dispensers, mobile charging stations, and designated motorbike parking.
The RTA aims to ensure rider safety, comfort, and compliance with traffic regulations, reinforcing its commitment to worker welfare and road safety across the emirate.
