Dubai Police announced on Saturday that 656 scooters were confiscated in the Al Barsha area last year due to multiple breaches of traffic laws by riders.

The figure was disclosed during an inspection visit to Al Barsha Police Station by Maj-Gen Harib Mohammed Al Shamsi, Deputy Commander-in-Chief for Criminal Affairs, as part of the force’s annual inspection program for police stations and general departments.

During the visit, Maj-Gen Al Shamsi reviewed key initiatives led by the station, assessed security coverage in the area, and evaluated metrics such as emergency response times, traffic accident fatalities, and cri-me rates.
