Dubai has launched a major Dh650-million project to develop the Ras Al Khor Wildlife Sanctuary, aiming to boost annual visitor numbers from current levels to between 250,000 and 300,000.
Dubai Municipality announced that the first phase of the project has been awarded and is set for completion by the end of next year.
Located near the heart of the city, Ras Al Khor is a vital wetland reserve known for its mangroves, lagoons, and salt flats. Home to over 450 species, it holds international ecological importance and supports regional biodiversity.
