A study by Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) Dubai found that AI-powered robot teachers can boost primary school learning outcomes by 8% compared to human teachers.
The robot, named Duet, uses machine learning and the Robot Operating System (ROS) to assess student performance and emotional engagement, personalising lessons accordingly.
Led by Dr. Jinane Mounsef, the research highlights how AI can support—though not replace—traditional education.
Experts urge that such innovations should enhance rather than overshadow the human essence of childhood learning.
