The General Authority of Islamic Affairs, Endowments, and Zakat has urged the public to avoid holding funeral prayers during peak afternoon hours due to extreme heat and health risks.
In an official statement released on Friday, the authority recommended that funeral prayers and burial rituals be carried out in the early morning or evening when temperatures are lower.
The advisory specifically discourages services between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m., warning of risks like heatstroke and exhaustion. This guidance is part of broader efforts to safeguard public health during the intense summer heat in the UAE.
