Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA), in collaboration with telecom provider e&, has completed the installation of free Wi-Fi on all 259 intercity buses, enhancing travel for thousands of daily commuters.
Covering routes to Sharjah, Abu Dhabi, Ajman, and Fujairah, the initiative allows passengers to stay connected via smartphones, tablets, or laptops.
This upgrade supports the UAE Digital Government Strategy and aligns with Dubai’s goal of becoming the smartest and happiest city.
RTA plans ongoing evaluations with potential expansion to marine transport, promoting digital transformation and sustainable, tech-driven mobility.
