A car caught fire on Saturday evening along Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road (311) near Mirdif City Centre, causing a traffic slowdown on the busy route from Abu Dhabi to Sharjah. The vehicle came to a halt on the right shoulder as smoke poured from it.
Dubai Civil Defence responded swiftly, dispatching firefighters who quickly brought the fire under control. Both Civil Defence and Dubai Police managed the scene efficiently, helping ease the traffic build-up.
The fire was fully extinguished within minutes, according to witnesses. However, no official statement has been issued yet by Dubai Police, and traffic congestion continues in the area, as shown on Google Maps.
