In a proud moment for the UAE, 17-year-old Fatima Abdulrahman Al Awadhi has become the youngest Emirati to summit Mount Elbrus, Europe’s highest peak standing at 5,642 metres.
This incredible achievement is part of her journey toward completing the “Seven Summits” challenge — a goal to climb the highest mountains on each continent. After conquering Mount Kilimanjaro last year, Fatima’s latest climb was backed by UAE-based Finance House, which supports youth empowerment. Battling harsh weather and steep terrain, she raised the UAE flag high, inspiring Arab youth and empowering young women across the region.
