đź“° Over 100 Million Members in the Chinese Communist Party; Workers and Farmers Comprise 32.7%

The Chinese Communist Party (CCP) membership has surpassed 100 million people.
According to Xinhua News Agency, the CCP’s Central Organization Department announced statistics ahead of the party’s anniversary, reporting that total membership reached 102.7 million by the end of last year. This is an increase of 1.086 million members (1.1%) from 99.18 million at the end of 2023, marking the first time membership exceeded 100 million.
CCP members accounted for approximately 7.1% of China’s total population of 1.4828 billion last year.
Among the members, 30.9% are women, 7.7% belong to ethnic minorities, and 57.6% hold at least a bachelor’s degree. The proportion of members with higher education increased by 1.4 percentage points from the previous year, and female membership rose by 0.5 percentage points.
Regarding professions, there are 6.63 million workers and 26.14 million engaged in agriculture, animal husbandry, and fisheries, together representing 32.7% of total membership.
Members employed in company positions—including professionals, technicians, and state agency employees—make up 35.4% (35.549 million people) of the party.
Age demographics include 12.27 million members under 30 years old, 22.23 million in their 30s, and 18.72 million in their 40s.
